After a series of soft openings, BB’s on North opened quietly last week at 7237 W. North Ave., greeting customers with a small seasonal menu of – not only pizza – but globally inspired modern American appetizers and entrees.
Inside the restaurant you’ll find a friendly staff, including front of house manager Kyle Lepkowski, presiding over a small dining room painted in neutral tones with seating for about 40 at both low- and high-top tables. There’s also a congenial bar stocked with beer, wine and a signature cocktail list.

The new venture will bring pizza, pasta, and a wide selection of wines to 7237 W. North Ave., in a property that was previously home to Irie Zulu. Shortly after the African-Jamaican restaurant announced it would be closing last April, brothers Pietro and Mario Balistreri—who have a family connection to Balistreri Brothers Pizza—took measures to open another pizza place in metro Milwaukee...

A pizzeria has opened in the former Irie Zulu space in Wauwatosa. BB’s on North is owned by brothers Mario and Pietro Balistreri (the business is not affiliated with any other Balistreri restaurant), who have made some minor changes to the space, such as a new color scheme and more seating for dine-in customers.
